Greystar has brought on Jordan Kobert as its new senior managing director of digital technologies, according to a company news release.
In this newly created position, Kobert will make use of emerging tech to develop new digital tools for the company. He will also lead the company’s product and engineering teams, tasked with operating its digital platform, creating tech-driven experiences for renters and making company operations more efficient, according to the release. He will report directly to Greystar’s COO, Andrew Livingstone.
“[Jordan’s] extensive background in leading product innovation and digital transformation will be invaluable as we continue to evolve Greystar’s digital platform and scale our global operations,” said Livingstone in the release. “[His] work will play a crucial role in creating a seamless, tech-enabled experience for our residents, property owners and partners.”
Charleston, South Carolina-based Greystar is the largest multifamily owner, manager and developer in the U.S. It operates over $320 billion in residential, logistics and life sciences real estate assets in 249 markets across five continents, including over 996,700 residential units and student beds.
Before joining Greystar, Kobert led the coaching platform Breakaway Industries. He was a founding member of Urbandoor, which Airbnb acquired in 2019, and his previous roles include digital product development at Strava, Google and HomeGain.com.
