Each month, Multifamily Dive highlights new products of interest to the industry across a spectrum of product types and applications, including building products, smart tech features and property management and operations software and services.
This time, we’re taking a look at products discovered on the show floor at National Apartment Association’s annual conference, Apartmentalize, which took place earlier this month in Atlanta.

Property-branded bike share
The On Bike Share service provides automated, custom-branded bikeshare systems for multifamily properties, including bikes, racks, resident apps and administrative software, according to a release shared with Multifamily Dive.
Service packages start at a minimum of five bikes, which can be printed with the property’s logo on the frame, basket or both. The bikes are connected to the rack through a Bluetooth-enabled lock, and residents are able to unlock and check out the bikes via a property-specific app, which may also be custom-branded. Managers can track bike usage, control access and respond to issues via the admin dashboard.
Clients can choose from five bike models, including seven- and single-speed bikes. Monthly maintenance is available as an optional service.
Underground waste storage
The Envirobin subsurface waste containers by Binova are designed to store a property’s waste in a below-ground drum attached to a surface-level polyurethane container. By locating trash in a cooler underground environment, the bin helps to prevent leaks and reduce odor and bacteria growth on site, according to a release shared with Multifamily Dive.
Installation includes the construction of a 66-inch-deep cavity fitted with a subsurface polyurethane sleeve and concrete anchor system to hold the subgrade section. The bins are available in different trim and lid options to match the surrounding environment, and may be lifted and dumped by standard front-load waste disposal trucks.
Work order management
The Plentific platform combines work order management for maintenance requests, inspections, unit turns and renovations with a database of local independent contractors, according to a release shared with Multifamily Dive. Using this platform, tenants can report and document a maintenance request and send it to a property manager, which the property can then delegate to an in-house team, assign to a preferred contractor or provide to the built-in contractor marketplace.
Users can integrate Plentific’s API with their existing property management software.
Co-signing service
The OneApp Guarantee service, operating with renters and property managers as clients, serves as a co-signer for conditionally approved or denied rental prospects. This allows properties to keep their occupancy rates high, and provides an easier path to housing for tenants with obstacles to rental approval, the provider told Multifamily Dive.
Managers can register their property with OneApp Guarantee, and from there refer renters who do not meet rental criteria to OneApp as a potential co-signer, according to a release shared with Multifamily Dive. This service is free for property managers, while the renter pays a one-time co-signing fee. Once approved by OneApp, the service will cover up to three months of rent for financial losses if the renter defaults, skips rent or is evicted.
