Acoustic dome lights
The Georgina acoustic pendant by Luxxbox combines a diffused, intricately decorated glass lantern and a sturdy, lightweight PET shade with a crisscross pattern in neutral marled gray. The fixture’s thin cable lines provide the pendant with a delicate, floating quality, according to a press release, while the large, domed shade is designed to absorb noise from the surrounding area.
The pendant is available in one size, with height-adjustable 9-foot black suspension cables. For illumination, specifiers can choose between an LED diffuser or an E26/E27 lamp holder. Manufacturer placement suggestions include grouping the fixture at varying heights to increase acoustic coverage.
Reclaimed wood look
The Rivenwood stone profile by Eldorado Stone features a woodgrain texture on its surface, designed to emulate the look of reclaimed barn wood both in appearance and in placement. The stone surface includes nail, break and knot details with a color patina that blends natural wood colors with tonal grains, according to a press release.
The stone is available in three colors: Shelter Cove, a gray and brown tone; Tawny Brown, a deep brown; and Shore Breeze, a creamy white. Each veneer panel measures 4 inches high, 35.75 inches long and .75 to 1.75 inches thick, depending on the texture.
Self-serve services
Denver-based software company Impulsify provides self-serve or “grab-and-go” markets — an amenity that’s become more popular in multifamily as of late — designed to order with automated operations run through the vendor.
Once ordered, Impulsify designs a 3D rendering and CAD model for a market based on the available space, traffic and visibility. The provider procures and manages deliveries for all of the market’s required furniture, fixtures and accessories, then deploys the market on site, including tech installation, inventory delivery and staff training. An Impulsify team member will also monitor the self-serve market’s inventory over its life cycle and place new orders based on sales velocity.
Subfloor adhesives and coatings
Urban Surfaces has added a total of 10 new products to its Urban Essentials adhesives and coatings line — five new adhesives and five new subfloor coatings, each designed for a different type of application.
The Prism firm-set adhesive and the Everlast hard-set adhesive are made for use with glue-down luxury vinyl flooring for light traffic applications. The Omni formulation is designed for commercial-grade use, while the Ascend is made for vertical applications and the Stronghold for molding and stair treads. Advantage, Trilogy, and Infuse serve as subfloor primer, while Traction provides greater horizontal grip and Infiniti protects against moisture absorption.
