Pay as you go
Financial platform Qira has launched a suite of security deposit management features as a part of its multifamily service package, including security deposit alternatives, payment and refund processing with full escrow management and payment plans.
Properties that use the platform can offer one or more of the following options to renters: pay a standard lump-sum security deposit, join a zero-deposit program for a monthly fee or pay in installments over a three-, six- or 12-month term. Qira covers the full deposit to minimize risk to the client, manages the escrow accounts in which the deposits are held and maintains compliance with state regulations on clients’ behalf, according to the release.
New perspective
Cornerstone Building Brands has added new color and size options to its Ply Gem Perspective Multi-Slide Vinyl Patio Door series, including extruded black or bronze exterior trim, white interiors and expanded sizing up to 10 feet high or 30 feet in width.
The extruded colors are scrape and scuff-resistant, durable year-round and easy to maintain, the company says. The door itself incorporates a simplified installation process, with pre-drilled fastening holes and color-coded hardware bags, according to a press release shared with Multifamily Dive.
Extra support
Assurant TechPro, a new platform from business service provider Assurant, is designed to provide managers and residents of multifamily properties with tech support for on-site electronics. Managers with access to the service can direct residents seeking help to Assurant’s tech support team via call or text chat, or residents can access help themselves through Assurant’s app.
The service is meant to alleviate the burden of tech-related maintenance requests for multifamily properties, which make up 20% of maintenance calls from residents, according to Assurant research. Some of these issues include device set-up, troubleshooting electronic issues and Wi-Fi connectivity problems
Soaking in style
The Carezza freestanding tub by Acquabella features a minimalist design meant to complement both contemporary and retro settings, according to a press release shared with Multifamily Dive. The piece measures 63 inches long by 31 inches high and is sculpted out of Acquabella’s Dolotek material, a mineral composite with an antibacterial surface and heat-retention properties.
The tub is available in a choice of five exterior finishes — white, light gray, dark gray, latte and black — against a white interior.
An eye on income
Digital payment platform Domuso has added a new dashboard, Payment Insights, to give users in-depth analysis of payment activity across their portfolio.
Available readouts include monthly collection trends, property performance comparisons and payment type breakdowns. These can help property managers improve cash flow by finding and closing gaps in the collection process, as well as understand and modify acceptable forms of payments, according to the platform.
