Statement surfacing
Xtone’s Blue Roma sintered stone surface pairs a greyish-blue canvas with copper-tone veins of varying widths to create a pattern resembling blue quartzite. The surface is available in 6- or 12-millimeter thicknesses, two sizes — 150 by 300 centimeters or 160 by 320 centimeters — and a choice of a silk or polished finish, according to the manufacturer.
The Xtone sintered stone formulation may be used in indoor or outdoor applications, including countertops, facades and indoor and outdoor flooring. It is waterproof, scratch- and impact-resistant and 100% recyclable at the end of its life.
Abstract layers
The New Composition Collection by Mannington Commercial adds six commercial carpet styles that layer simple forms — lines, squares and triangles — in playful configurations. The patterns are inspired by the work of abstract artist Wassily Kandinsky, according to a press release shared with Multifamily Dive, particularly his Composition series.
The collection includes three broadloom styles and three modular styles in 24-inch-square tiles. The carpets are made from solution dyed 6,6 nylon with built-in stain resistance, available in a choice of high-performance backing options. Each one is Green Label Plus-certified for low emissions.
At the pool
The Pool Stone Sukabami Select tile collection by Island Stone is made from Balinese Sukabami stone, a preferred material for high-end pools on account of its natural durability, thermal stability and mineral attributes, according to a press release. The stone’s chlorite composition gives it a strong blue-green hue, with a natural variation of tones and textures from one piece to another.
The tiles come in 4 by 4 inch, 4 by 8 inch, 6 by 6 inch and 1.25 by 1.25 mosaic sizes, each with a honed finish that is easy to maintain. They are approved for wall and flooring use, including submerged applications.
EV expansion
Bullet EV Charging Solutions is a newly launched installer of EV chargers, solar panels and battery storage systems, made with the intention of combatting the country’s EV charger scarcity and strained power grid, according to a press release.
Based in Austin, Texas, the company’s services are active in Texas, Arizona, California and Colorado, with national expansion planned for next year. The company is both a Tesla Certified Installer and a ChargePoint Certified Installer, and also offers repair and maintenance.
